Want a better relationship with food and your body?
Are you constantly feeling exhausted by how much your brain is thinking about what to eat OR what you ‘shouldn’t’ be eating and trying SOO hard to stop thinking about how you ‘can’t’ have it?? Do you find yourself checking your weight daily (or multiple times a day) and your mood or exercise is determined by the number going up or down. Are you constantly checking your body in the mirror and picking at the parts you hate. Do you find these thoughts taking up most of your brain space?
This is hard and you are not alone.
Courtney, is an eating disorder dietitian (and part-time baker) who is on a mission to make carbs great again. Courtney can support you to unlearn unhelpful-diet rules and regain brain space in your life again.
Meet Courtney, your new non-diet dietitian
Courtney is a non-dietitian dietitian who is here for you. Courtney is a warm and engaging human who is passionate about working with those who find their relationship with food a difficult one. Courtney aims to provide a brave space where individuals can challenge their eating disorder and move towards recovery.
Courtney graduated as a Dietitian from the University of Wollongong has experience working in both the public and private sectors of health supporting individuals and their families to find a sustainable relationship with food.
Courtney aligns with a Health at Every Size (HAES) framework when working with clients and focuses on a trauma-informed approach whilst drawing from different therapeutic approaches to support individuals in their recovery journey.
Having recovered from an eating disorder herself Courtney knows firsthand how an eating disorder can impact your life and sense of self. Therefore, is passionate about individuals finding their own journey to recovery and life free of an eating disorder.
Courtney also found a love for making sourdough and now has a shed dedicated to bread (aka. the bread shed). Courtney has found bread making to be so relevant to healing your relationship with food and has found it as a perfect medium to share her love of food, especially carbs. You will also find my co-baker Sia not far and will likely show her face in sessions. Sia has been all around Australia and is now happy living her best life in Tassie.
